Today was another day of travel. Another 7 hour van ride, with a stop for lunch in a very small town, back to Lanzhou. Lanzhou is where our family originated 8 years ago. We are staying in the very same hotel where we got Kaia and became a family. Memories! We stopped to see the Yellow River and the Mother and Child statue on our way to the hotel. Melanie and Kaia took photos in front of the statue reminiscent of 8 years ago.
We checked into the Sunshine Hotel and after dinner we had arranged for a visit with the guide who had been with us when we got Kaia. Ray was as happy to see us as we were to see him. We met Ray's wife Jessica too and got to see some photos of their 2 month old son. It was so nice to see Ray who had been such a big part of our Journey to Kaia - old friends!
